ARAD program participants have access to several different types of programs that each help bring part of the recovery picture into focus. Each participant and each path to recovery is different but our clinical staff have the knowledge & experience to help guide participants through the process of understanding and overcoming their addiction, so they can reclaim their life. Your support as a friend or family member will be very helpful to the process; and when you are ready it would be good for you to check into some programs that help you unpack how your loved one’s addiction has impacted you as well.
All the programs listed below are available for ARAD participants; and many of them are available to you as well. take your time and read as much as you want, when you are ready we will be glad to answer any remaining questions.
Because every ARAD participant’s treatment plan is unique we can’t say exactly what your friend or loved one will do every day, but they will have access to & be able to participate in any of the programs listed below as part of their customized treatment program and see which ones suit them best.

HOLISTIC THERAPIES & NATURAL COPING INTERVENTIONS
In addition to the life-changing programs ARAD provides, we also offer a variety of restorative services and natural interventions that help smooth out the recovery process and awaken the senses & creative impulses that often become dulled after substance misuse.
Each of the wellness activities is backed by scientific evidence indicating the efficacy of these activities in healing mind, body , and spirit, and even helping to reroute neural pathways in the brain that have been negatively affected by substance misuse.
Auricular acudetox (acupuncture)
An acupuncture protocol that stimulates
5 pressure points in the ear. This specific protocol is designed to aid in ridding the body of toxins, and elicits a very pleasant relaxation response. Acudetox is helpful in reducing urges and cravings. It is also helps to regulate sleep, appetite, and mood (think reduced anxiety and depression). It’s residual calming effects help participants to focus more quickly and deeply in treatment, facilitating learning as well as physical and emotional healing.
Massage therapy helps to increase circulation, relieve tension, reduce stress, relieve anxiety, improve sleep, and promote relaxation throughout the entire body, as well as many other benefits.
Art therapy uses the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages.
Music acts as a medium for processing emotions, trauma, and grief—but music can also be utilized as a regulating or calming agent for anxiety or for dysregulation.
At ARAD we address every aspect of a participant’s life: Spiritual, mental, family, social, nutritional, spiritual and physical. As a part of treatment, you will have the opportunity to train with a certified fitness coach at a pace and level that is safe and healthy for you.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
ARAD guests will enjoy our spacious and recently remodeled facility surrounded by mature trees in a park-like atmosphere adjacent to two ponds and unobstructed views of amazing West Texas sunsets.

Admission to ARAD is quick & easy.
Once your loved one is on site and has been cleared for entrance into the facility we will help him/her complete the initial paperwork, give you both a tour of the facility and a give him/her some time to settle in to the new surroundings before meeting with the counseling team to start making arrangement for his/her program & treatment preferences.
We know checking in to a comprehensive treatment facility is big transition, and it may feel unusual at first; but our staff are well trained and experienced with helping people quickly learn the systems so they can make the most of their time with us.
Depending on your loved one's situation you may or may not be able to participate in their treatment right away; but you will be able to & encouraged to be involved when the time is right. We also want be a resource for you during this time because even if you don't struggle with substance misuse you have been affected by it. Call anytime you need to talk.
